Our floor edging sanders are specifically designed for use in the edges of rooms, to sand down wooden floors with just a 10-15mm gap from the skirting board, where a large floor sanding machine cannot reach. An edging sander is an essential tool for achieving a professional finish when completing a floor sanding job. These compact floor sanders feature a rotary disc that can be fitted with sanding discs in a range of grits. A robust four brush motor powers the sanding disc and it gives a high quality, score-free finish on wooden floors, including parquet floors. These units can also be used on a wide range of other surfaces including some types of decking, fibreboard and engineered floors. Our edging sanders feature an integrated vacuum that vacuums the wood dust produced during sanding and deposits it into a disposable dust collection bag - helping to prevent dust inhalation and minimise the mess. We can also supply the floor edging sander discs and dust collection bags for these units. You can add these to your order during the online checkout process, or when ordering over the phone. We recommend using at least 3 of each grit of sanding disc per room and at least 2 dust bags per room. We can also supply extension leads and Personal Protection Packs. These packs give you the appropriate protective equipment to wear when using a floor sander - safety goggles, safety gloves, dust mask and earplugs.
Please note: We recommend using the larger Floor Sander machine before using a Floor Edging Sander. The Floor Sander allows you to sand large open areas of wooden floorboards, and then the Edging Sander allows you to finish the job by getting up to the skirting, where the larger machine cannot reach. Using both of these machines together allows you to complete the job properly and achieve the most professional finish. We offer a Floor Sander Hire Package that gives you both machines together at a reduced rate compared to hiring both separately. Please ensure that the sanding plate that holds down the sanding sheet is fully screwed in before operating the machine. Failure to do so can result in damage to the machine or the floor.

From 1st April 2022, our suppliers will only fuel machines with white diesel. This is due to new government guidelines.
If you, as the hirer, refuel any equipment while it is in your possession, it must be with WHITE DIESEL.
YOU MUST NOT USE RED DIESEL IN HIRED MACHINES OR EQUIPMENT.
If you return a machine refuelled with rebated diesel, suppliers will have to remove and dispose of the fuel. They must also flush the tank and supply lines before they can refuel them. The process is chargeable, with no exceptions.
